Mohenjo Daro Review by Vinay Gupta

Last week our B-Town has witnessed one more periodic drama ‘Mohenja Daro’ by the Director well known for making master pieces in Periodic cinema – Ashutosh Gawarikar.  It was a treat for cinema lovers because no one has yet touched the topic of world’s one of the most popular civilization.

Viewers are overjoyed that Ashutosh Gowariker of all people took up the challenge. After all, he was behind the most successful period films like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar in the past. Yet another classic made by him with the collaboration of Hrithik Roshan. The film is set against the turbulent period of 2016 B.C.

Mohenja Daro is a grand and stylish offering of the Director with exciting action sequences by Hrithik. The story revolves around a revolution against the evil ruler and set him back to win over the Right and Wrong. Film is a contemporary with its political agenda for money, power and greed.

Hrithik is surely the best part of the film along with the sets obviously. He is an actor to watch out for and he proves this yet again with Mohenjo Daro! Once again completely into his character and entertains with his performance and aura. Poja Hegde is also an awesome find, beautiful and talented actor too. Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh surprisingly raised the bar of evilness in the film which was much needed.

My Verdict: Mohenja Daro is an engaging and involving movie going experience. It is a modern masterpiece set in a periodic drama, not to be missed because Director has brought something new on screen.
